Generating leads

Through agency The Works, obii.mobi created an iPad app for ŠKODA to use at the 2011 Melbourne Motor Show. The app was designed to capture consumers’ data by enabling them to book a ŠKODA test drive and/or request a brochure. Once customer’s details were captured the application automatically generated and sent that customer an email that included a link to the online brochure of their ŠKODA car of interest.

An integrated admin section (within the app) allowed ŠKODA to upload all captured data to a remote server for integration with their existing client database, and follow up.

Over the two weeks of the Motor Show, ŠKODA accumulated almost 2,000 new data leads.

The official iPhone app for the 17th Biennale of Sydney

This app brought the Biennale program to the iPhone including exhibition logistics and detailed information on the artists and their works. It also enabled users to share their exhibition experiences immediately via a public website called You Say, by either recording their own art review and/or listening and/or commenting on others’ reviews. Fun to use and easy to navigate, this app extended the Biennale experience.

Interface design for the application and its corresponding website was designed by our partner agency thirdeyecreative.

A game for the iPad

Spin & Win is one of a series of promotional games obii.mobi developed for Jim Beam through advertising agency The Works. Its function is to capture consumers’ data on the fly and automatically send it to Jim Beam’s consumer database. Its appeal lies in its fun. Presented to pub patrons by the Jim Beam Party Crew, the app loosely mimics a game on the pokies. Programmed with an algorithm that satisfies the regulations of the Gaming Control Authority, the app provides patrons with an opportunity to win a Jim Beam prize.

PocketShrink is a series of iPhone apps for finding out who YOU are.

PocketShrink is a series of apps for people who have a mental health concern either for themselves or for someone they know. Each app provides a brief description of the disorder (with more detail available in the ‘more info’ section) and then tests the user on whether they may have the disorder. The application is designed to be an early warning system rather than a comprehensive assessment of one’s mental health. If PocketShrink’s diagnosis indicates the presence of a disorder, it recommends a professional diagnoses from a qualified health professional.

If desired, users can submit their diagnosis for comparison with the results of others who have previously done that particular test. Results are presented in graph form to best illustrate the comparison. All information is secure and identities remain anonymous (even to PocketShrink).

Capturing client data on the fly

Working alongside Core Web Systems, obii.mobi helped to create an iPad application that functions as a component of Core Web System’s content management solution for real estate agents. Used by real estate agents on the fly, for example when gathering customer’s details at property inspections, the app automatically synchronises newly loaded client details with the Agent’s existing client database.

The application is used by Laing + Simmons agencies, for example.

Brought to you by Sydney’s community radio station FBi radio – 94.5 FM and Stuart Buchanan, New Weird Australia is a weekly show consisting of music, news and live events.  Its website was brought to the iPhone by obii.mobi enabling listeners to get podcasts, listen to the music and read the latest news whilst on the move.
